WOYWW CHECK IT OUT!

Ok i  have to admit that i have always been interested in WOYWW,  (check out the wonderful Julia's blog to follow along), but just have never had the time to really get into it, But now i am making time.  Yeah for me!!  I am trying my hardest to keep up with my blog everyday but so far I have failed on the weekends.
A year ago i decided i wanted to make over my craft room.  So in January I packed up my room and put most of it in our rec room and the rest that the kids could not touch, in my  husbands office.  My husband went to Germany for six weeks last January so when he returned in March he was going to do it.  Well one thing led to another and the last weekend in September he finished my room.  It looked amazing for one month then it looked like a bomb went off in it!  By Christmas i couldn't even get in the door.  Over the holidays i once again cleaned it all up and three days later my computer blew up.  So my husband started rebuilding my still not working computer and decided to build not just one but two on top of the counter.  So once again the room became a collecting ground for everything.  Does anyone else have this problem?!!! So my goal this week while my husband is away is to get it all put back together again and re-organize it.  Lets see how i make out.
So this is how it looks right now!              YUCKY!!!!!
This is taken standing in the hallway looking in.  I had to climb over several bags just to take this picture!
As you can see the counter top is full, no where for me to work.
Lots and lots or sorting to do.  No i do not store cereal in my room i am saving the boxes for albums.
Cant wait to see how the week goes hopefully next week these pictures will be totally different.
Enjoy your Wednesday!

  6. Had to smile at your room ...my DD decorated and put together units for my craft/bedroom ...it looked amazing ...and tidy ...for about a month ...now she sighs when she comes in and just says ' dont ask me to do it again' lol

  7. I can't speak for everyone but it never stays nice and sorted no matter how hard I try. It must be hard to try to keep it all together while remodeling the room! I think it looks like it is coming together nicely. Just keep plodding away at it and one day you will have room to play again (even if it is just a few square inches!).

  8. It'll get there one day!! I put wadding and dried yellow split peas - they get harder and like gravel as they age, unlike rice which gets soft and pongs :)

  14. I have upscaled my craft room twice (in size) and am always re-organising to get it all in. I have to tidy at least once a week or it wuld get well out of hand. Fortunately I have a very tidy friend who comes over once a week and I am too ashamed to let her see the mess it gets so it usually gets done before she arrives. Although I do do a little dance if she cancels (but its twice as bad as the following week). So you are not alone. But it's a great room. Can't wait to see next week! Thanks for popping by, Cindy #58

  15. Hee. I almost want to beg you NOT to go visit me!! Well, maybe you should -- you'll feel MUCH better! You have a nice long work area and I'd love to have something like that.

    Welcome to WOYWW!!

  17. I hate when my space becomes the dumping ground. It happened A LOT when I lived at home and was using the spare room. But once you have it all organized and nice it will be such a fabulous place to craft in!

Thanks for stopping by my blog! Happy WOYWW!

  21. Oh Lisa, that story sounds so familiar to me, I’ve heard it so many times as I travel the work desks of the world. My room is definitely in need of a makeover too but I just can’t decide what I really want to do in here. I hope you get your room back as you want it soon.

    Happy Crafting!

  22. Lisa, I have a confession the rest of my craft room also looks like that! I did start sorting weeks ago but I always seem to get distracted....I just think a productive craft room is a messy one, LOL. Nevermind the tidying have a play instead.

  23. Good luck with tidying, I don't think it matters how much space you have it always ends up in a crafty mess! I often think I would love a room just for me to craft in, but then I often think how it would end up and think well at least theres only SO much mess I can make in a corner ;o) x

  24. It will be worth it when it is done as it looks a wonderful space. Then you might just have to put a lock on the door ;-)

  25. Have fun and good luck with your tidying. When you finish you can pop round to mine if you like!!
As for men and decorating, I bought wallpaper and curtains last February for my dining room. He decided to start it 3 weeks before Christmas!! It wasn't quite finished and still isn't!! Grr!

  27. Glad that you've found time! Take here Lisa, you aren't alone and certainly I've been where you are now....specially that situation where you think it's all done and dusted and then something happens and it all starts over! BUT, as you're collecting cereal boxes, I'm saying you know it has an end!! Enjoy the journey, look forward to celebrating with you at the finish!!

  28. Funny to come across your woyww today because I just spent a couple hours this morning cleaning & tidying one of my art areas. If I don't use it every day, it becomes a catch all. I hate that! It's much to easy to let a creative space become a catch all dumping space - resist, resist! :) It feels SO good to see the top of the desk again, I can feel the creative juices stirring as I type :) Hope you find a few minutes to clear a space for your next fun project!

  29. Good luck re-re-organizing :) I finished cleaning up my room this morning, but it was mostly the half of the room where my kids work. You want to talk about an explosion!

  32. Hi, looks like you have a busy week ahead - when I'm in a mid crafting session I make a real mess and end up surrounded by all sorts of things - I don't mind getting things out, but I don't like putting them back! Have a great week - I'm sure your children will love taking their favours to school. ikki

  35. Welcome to WOYWW, I am fairly new too, i decided that i wouldn't join in until my craft space was finished so a year later i was able to show pictures of my very own space, which i love. I didn’t make it, to everyone’s crafty space on Wednesday so doing my snooping today,

  37. Now I can see that your are a creative lady with cute, cute, kids. You should be glad that you are not anal retentive like me or have an anxiety problem like me -- plus the fact I do not have two little kids. This is an addictive sport and it is easy to get on overload!!!!!

  39. LoL - I can sympathize with you! Since Wednesday (when my photo for WOYWW was taken) a hurricane came through my room! I can hardly find the desk! But I must admit - I enjoy the cleaning part. Just love taking everything out of the packages and storage and looking at all my stash again :)

  41. I know the difficulty of putting everything back _again_... (we moved three times in four years :| ) ... and somehow piles of unneeded things will always start stacking up on the desk... but you have a wonderful room, love the colour you chose for the walls. Hugs, sparcstation

  42. You are NOT alone - that is not even a really messy scraproom - I can still see some floor and other horisontal spots with nothing on them. =0) I came home from an event Sunday evening with more than 1,000 cards made for deployed Danish soldiers - add my stash, my bags, boxes of flowers, scraps, envelopes, etc. and I can assure you I have NO floor and really must start sorting. Thanks for visiting and leaving a comment.
