Snowflakes seem to be the theme

This year everywhere i look all i see are snowflakes and i guess that has rubbed off on me.  Most of the decorations i have bought are snowflakes or have snowflakes on them.  So keeping with my theme of snowflakes i even made my Christmas cards this year to have snowflakes.
The beautiful, serene, gentle feeling that snowflakes bring helps put the holiday into perspective for me.

I came across these scallop cards at Michael's, 8 of them for $1.50, so i bought three packs.  Not enough but i made due.  I then used silver metallic card stock and red card stock.  I cut the circles out using the big shot and then the shimmery white circle was cut using the big shot as well.  I then embossed the shimmery white piece with a snowflake embossing folder.  As for the snowflakes they varied.  The blue and silver were stickers, then shinny fabric snowflakes and a couple cut from a memory box die and glittered icicle card stock.  I used red or silver jewels around the scallop and the red ones have a jeweled flower and the silver ones have a rhinestone snowflake.

On my way to the mail box

Finally have finished all my Christmas cards that get sent out but keep seeing many more i just love and hope to have time to make.  First though, i have to finish everything else on my list.  I held a card class about a month ago and we created three different cards.  I got 5 people who participated and had lots of fun.  I made a friends stack of cards as she could not attend so having the time i made hers but felt the need to make one a little fancier than i did for the class.
I used the welcome Christmas set from stampin up and just loved it.  I used a brown card stock as the base and red card stock which i embossed.  I then stamped the imagine on cream card stock with stampin ups chocolate chip ink and added stickles. The glittered paper i cannot remember who makes it and the sediment was stamped on cream card stock with red ink.

Wow how time flies>>>

I cannot believe how quickly time has gone.  I didn't even get one post done in the month of November.
I have been busy trying to buy gifts, make crafts, cards, baking and getting everthing finished for the kids for their teachers.

Christmas has always been my favorite holiday of the year but also the most chaotic. I enjoy doing all the festive things but also look forward to January.
Recently i have made an advent calendar for the kids.
I cut out each numbered square and punched holes in the top coroners.  I then attached it to twine and it is hanging in our kitchen.  Everyday when my daughter gets home from school we read what it says to do for that day.  December 1st was to make/write letters to Santa and mail them.  December 2nd was to go to the parade of lights, which the kids just loved.  Today December 3rd is to make snow globes!  I hope to be able to bring you something new each day and possibly my baking as well.  This year i hope to be abler to make all new cookies and bars, yum yum!
