It's Monday......

We had a great time camping this weekend and the kids loved it.  My little boy has a nasty cold so he didn't want to do too much.  Anyways, i wanted to do some scrapbooking but jut had no time.  Im hoping this week i can find the time to do some at night.  My husband is away again but i need to get some party decorating done and bake my daughters cake.  Hard to believe she is already four, where did the time go!

Here is yet another double layout from the counterfiet challenge.  This was made using my its raining sunshine kit.  The colors in this kit i loved so using pictures of bright, vibrant flowers was the way to go.  I just love the crochet flowers.

He came home early...

Ok so i was excited to be able to scrapbook at night while my husband was away but he came home two days early.  So no scrapbooking.  Oh well,  that just means we are going camping earlier!  So lucky for me i got to finish a couple of layouts using my counterfiet kits.  I am addicted to having the kits available.  its just mind boggling sometimes to come up with and idea for a layout or even what photos to use.  So i have had lots of fun trying to put together different layouts but i want to make some cards as well.
So for my layouts i used my beachy bliss kit.  Like the title i choose to do some water scenes.  I used the may road envelopes to tuck away journaling.  I took the strings off and attaach my own to match the page.  I added lots of embellishments and wood grain paper to create logs.  I added bling to the word phrases  and created a sunshine with bling.  Had to really think of how i was going to do these pages.
Hope you enjoy!

Mini Challenge #3 FRAMED

I was excited when i saw this challenge.  So using my main kit called crafty creatures i came up with a layout  of camping.  I used the pages from the kit and cut out the camp sweet camp just to have the curved part.  I then matted the photo on wood grain paper and choose to frame it with the "flowers" from another paper.   i cut out each flower and circle and created a frame around the picture.  I then added a cute bear holding the same flower to the layout to finish it off.
So tell me what you think!

Layout with photo.

Wow!  I guess when the husband goes away on business, and the kids are finally sleeping, i finally have time to get things done.  I honestly thought it would be a while before my husband would be traveling for work as he just got home three weeks ago from being in Germany for six weeks.  My daughter says to me "mommy is daddy going to come home tonight or will he be gone long time again?"  I said "sweetie this time it will only be for a couple of days."  Poor girl i have no idea of what the kids are thinking when daddy goes away now.  But lucky for us he calls every night before they go to bed.

So that being said i had time tonight to put pictures in my layout, create layouts and get all the pictures taken.  Oh and even bake peanut butter cookies for the kids to enjoy tomorrow!  (What a mom)  This is the photo for the layout using my majestic meadow counterfiet kit.

Counterfiet Kit Layout and Cards

I have finally had a little time to do a couple layouts and cards using my kits. I have not included photos yet but i plan to i just have to get them printed. So here they are with the pictures.

These cards and the layout above were all made using my majestic meadow counterfiet add on kit.  I used many different embellishments but i loved using the paper from the DCWV glamor girl scrap pad.  The colors are so girlie.  ENJOY!

I loved using the glittered butterfly paper because of its vibrant colors.  I was able to match embellishments to the colors of the paper. I used the stella and rose pebbles collection by my minds eye to create the middle of the flower.  They are my new favorite pebbles!

More Flowers

These flowers are pretty easy to make but time consuming to put together.
They will definitely add color and versatility to cards or layouts.
For some reason i love making flowers right now, maybe because i think i can use them in many different things.
My almost four year old daughter says to me today, "mommy can i have some of those beautiful flowers in my hair to help me look gorgeous."  She ia just too cute sometimes but then my two year old son wanted some as well.  Hope to make tons more to share with you.
Sorry my camera is out of commisison so i am having to take pictures of everything with my i phone.

Into the woods counterfiet kit

Well after a lot of struggling and decision making i finally got my entire kit finished and the four add-on as well.  Yeah for me!  Only one kit i was not too sure about but it will work.  Who would think with a two year old who is experiencing the terrible part of terrible two's, and a four year old with a attitude the size of dumbo, would allow me the time to get this done?!!!
So here are the details of the kits:

MAIN KIT
Crafty Creatures
My inspiration for this kit came from a camping theme.
The papers are earth tone colors and the crittter paper matches "creatures" of the forest.
I then added some buttons to match, die cut creatures, some camping/woods tags and a felt printed tag holder with a die cut mushroom.
The alphabet set is felt with stitching and matching colors to the color paper selection.  I also chose a green chipboard color alphabet set to coordinate with the woodsy theme.
I also added some buttons and some scallop sticker tags for embellishments.
Ultimately, my favorite kit!
Kit One add-on
Beachy Bliss
This kit was created with the inspiration of the water and kids playing or picnicing.
The papers i chose were swirls to resemble the water and browns and blues to accent.
I used a blue felt alphabet stitched set.  My ribbon is a darker royal blue but says splish splash, great for my theme, and a blue white rope like twine ribbon.  I added aqua and gold/yellow bling and vintage papers of kids on the beach or playing.  I used Maya road envelops, very cute and brown to match.Stella rose collection of brads and pebbles to dress everything up, absolutely love it.  And finally, i added three old fashioned papers of tickets, utensils and cooking.  Can't wait to dream something up with this kit.

Kit two add-on
Beautiful Breeze
This is a kit that i put together with inspiration of the dreamy hills and knolls.
I chose papers of pastels.  The scalloped alpha bet reminded me of kids playing outside or at a park playing hopscotch.  The flowers i thought would tie together the yellow in the paper i chose and the color of sun.
I added blue flower ribbon and some lacey ribbon, a stamp set with swirls and butterflies, a blue tag, green tag and brown tag.  My alphabet set enhance the paper color choices.I also added yellow pearlized pebble bling, some journalling tags and colorful butterfly stickers.

Kit three add-on
Sunshine on a rainy day
I thought this was fitting for into the woods theme.  How many times have you gone camping and it has rained?!! This kit was inspired by the boots stamp set.  I loved in and thoughi can make a bright and cheery kit based on rain and sun.  The color choices of paper were to symbolize the sun and bright vibrant days.  The clouds were for those "rainy days."
My embellishments are lots of varieties of flowers, because after all when it rains and the sun appears, the flowers always look so vibrant and alive.I have added some rickrack ribbon and tags of lunch dates.  The alphabet set ties in beautifully to the colors and most of all,  I love the crocheted flowers!

Kit four add-on
Majestic Meadow
I tried to think what else i could use for my kit of into the woods and all i could come up with was what do you see when out hiking?  "Majestic meadows" full of life.  Many creatures live in the meadows and therefore my glittered, bright paper of butterflies worked brilliantly in this kit. I chose paper that matched the butterfly paper.  I added beautiful stella rose flowered rhinestone pebbles.  They just look so beautiful.  I added a pink ribbon border and girlie tags.  I added flowers and some green leafs and blue and purple rhinestones and the new bo bunny butterfly collection of stickers.   The pink and white flower buttons and the journaling tags make great accents.  Many wonderful ideas come to mind for this kit.

I am so excited to be finished and to start working on my glorious amounts of creative  ideas!
So tell me what you all think.

Dreaming all night

Good morning!
For the second night in a row i got to sleep through the night, not to be awakened by a child! However i did spend the entire night dreaming about my counterfeit kit. I have join the counterfeit kit challenge (http://counterfeitkitchallenge.blogspot.com/) put on by Meridy Twillings at Two peas in a bucket. Last night i put together the paper but none of the embellishments. So hopefully after i drop my daughter off at preschool this morning i will be able to finish them and take pictures to share with all of you.
I hope to be back in a couple of hours to show what i have completed.

Flowers (I have a new addiction)

Here are some pictures of my latest addiction!
My neighbor introduced me to these amazingly easy flowers.
I have been making them for a couple of weeks but don't seem to get a lot of free time with two young kids. All it takes is a little time and sometimes a lot of patience to make them.

All you need is some thread, a needle, tweezers and a candle to make them and some material. CAUTION does tend to burn your thumb and finger sometimes, but with such an addiction i never notice! Hopefully i can get sometime to post pics of how to do them.

I had some different colors and styles made but i gave them to a friend of mine. She was diagnosed a year ago with breast cancer at the age of 35. She has three kids all under the age of 4. She had a mastectomy and underwent chemotherapy and radiation last summer and finished up two weeks before Christmas. She is going into the !hospital this Friday for reconstruction surgery and will be there for a week so she said she wanted to work on scrapbooking stuff and i thought she could use some.

Best of all my husband is finally back from his six week training in Germany, and my kids are so happy to have daddy home:0)
SO TELL ME WHAT YOU THINK!
