Well i accomplished a lot today at home.  It only took me three hours to do the ironing, two hours to de-weed one of my flower beds and a half hour to continually clean up after the kids.  One of these days i will get there. So later yesterday afternoon, my daughter went to the basement to play in the playroom.  It was quiet for so long i went down to see what she was doing and i came across her dressing up.  So i said "what are you doing, playing dress up?"   Her reply was "no mommy i have to get ready to marry my prince tonight so i need to look beautiful,"  and she is only four! I didn't know whether to laugh or cry, she was so cute. This is her posing outside.
Anyways, moving on.  Here is a sneak peek of something I'm working on with my May Counterfeit kit.

sorry the pictures are blurry, could not get a good one.

May Counterfeit kit

Ok, so since i saw the post i have been wanting to get to my craft room to organize my kits.  But tonight was the first time!  Yeah for me as i made time for myself this evening to get this done so now i can play with them.  I was going to put it together on Saturday but after dropping the kids at my MIL i decided it was much easier for me to come home and get the house clean instead of scrapbook.  I know what your thinking but my logic in this was to get it done with no kids because it always takes me so long.  Then by the time i looked at the clock it was 5:30pm.  My husband and I were going out for dinner for our anniversary so that, a movie and ice cream took up the whole evening.  So i planned to get up around 9-9:30 Sunday morning as my MIL kept the kids for a sleep over.  Well that didn't happen either.  When i rolled over in bed to look at the time it was 11:30am.  Have never slept that long in my life!  But it was much needed.  Then the rest of the day was spent with the family for Mother's day and it was lovely.
When i saw the two add on kits by Meridy and Bethany, the rollers started turning in my head.  I knew exactly what i wanted to do with my kits.  Of course i could not just do a boys add on kit, i needed to add one for my daughter as well.  So i created the main kit, boy add on kit and girl add on kit.
My main kit i called Curious Children

The boy add on kit i called Baby Boy Blue

And finally the girl kit is called Preschool Patootie.

I AM SO EXCITED TO BE ABLE TO CREATE WITH MY KITS AND SOON I WILL SHARE THEM WITH YOU.  MAYBE A SNEEK PEEK HERE AND THERE!

FLOWERS

On Tuesday night i went to my neighbors scrappymo!, to scrapbook.  We try to get together at least one night a week to scrapbook.  I had really nothing to work on that i had prepared, so i decided to make some flowers.
I was thinking of making them to attach to my daughters hair bands or elastics or to even make barrets but i might end up keeping them for scrapbooking.
So all i did was cut circles out of material and then burned the edges.  I then sewed a circle around the middle of the circle and pulled it tight to form the flower.  Then did this with a layer of tulle and another layer of material, and voila flowers.  Hope you enjoy!

Final card using my April counterfeit kit

This was the final card i made using my kit but was away camping for the weekend so i could not post it on Saturday.  Then yesterday woke up terribly ill and spent the majority of the day in bed. Yuck...   Poor kids didn't know what to do so at 4pm i finally called my MIL and asked her to come over and take care of them till my husband came home.  Thank god for her!  So i have had a slow start to this morning, but slowly feeling better.

So here is another card, yes bird card.  I stamp out my bird cage on matching paper and then  outlined the cage in charcol stickles.  I used the stampin up bird/branch as the tree and used a piece of canvas to look like the bag.  I added little flowers and voila here you have my card.
This card i am actually giving to my husband for our anniversary on Saturday.

Finally, one last thing.  If anyone knows of some good sketch sites I'm looking for some.  Feel free to leave them in my comment section.

Another counterfeit kit card

This is another great use for my counterfeit kit.  For some reason i am just loving birds and bird cages.  I think until i started making this kit for the month of April, i would probably never have used birds or bird cages.
I used a rose colored card stock and then used my embossing folder to create a swirl look on the card matching the patterned paper.  I probably would never have choose the patterned paper but i loved the colors.
I had an idea in my head to make the bird look furry.  So i added the feather to the tail to give it that look.  I then added the flower to give the card some embellishing.  Finally since i am in love with jewels, i added them to the card to make it look glittery.

So i am looking for people to join my blog as followers.  So if your liking what you see and want to keep seeing more, join as a follower.  I am hoping to encourage more people to follow along so within the net week i'am hoping to give away some blog candy to one lucky follower.
Let me know what you think of my card.

CKC BLOG HOP!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Welcome to the April Counterfeit kit challenge BLOG HOP!

The challenge that was  given at The counterfeit kit challenge blog this month was to counterfeit a member of the design team. I chose to counterfeit this beautiful  layout by Margie Visnick at  http://scrappinmargie.blogspot.com/
I loved the use of the canvas.  Her colors and  simplicity of the layout, I thought were fabulous.  So I was inspired to use the canvas for an Easter layout.
I took the kids to see the Easter bunny but as usual my son became afraid when it was time to snap the picture.  Hopefully next year! The paper to put the actual layout on, was my hardest decision.  I then cut out the grass for the border and curled it.  I then added eggs I cut out and put them in the border of grass.
I then added two feathers to make it look like a bunny in the grass.  I fussy cut birds from the patterned paper and used another sheet to cut out a border to apply to the top of the frame.  I then added flower stickers in the grass.

For the final touches I added the canvas and the so sweet tag and finished it off with pearlized bling.
Now it is time to head over to Scrappymo!'s blog http://scrapsoflifebyscrappymo.blogspot.com/ and see what wonderful creations she has come up with.
